Ethics is the study of moral principles and right conduct intended to uphold the dignity of the profession, adhere to prevailing laws, stay committed to quality, and respect each client. The practice of professional ethics shows respect for oneself and clients, broadens communication skills, enhances one’s ability to manage boundaries, and develops technical competency.
Each class offered follows a basic format but with flexibility:
· Introduction to the topic and overview of class expectations

· How the topic plays into massage therapy
· Benefits and conflicts or risks
· Role plays and discussion of scenarios
· Discussion of additional possible solutions
· Selection of goals for improving in the future
